Graham feeling the love from Toledo

Mike Singer

TheRocketNation.com publisher Mike Singer stopped by Armwood High School in Seffner (Fla.) last week to talk to the Hawks' top prospects - most of which are Toledo targets.

5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback Nigel Graham has a Toledo offer, and the Rockets' staff has been making Graham feel great about UT.

"I like the love. The coaches are like a family there," said Graham. "I really like that."

Not only is running backs coach Marquel Blackwell recruiting Graham, Toledo head coach Jason Candle is personally recruiting Graham as well. Graham noted that a few other UT coaches have been in his ear as well.

Also going in the Rockets' favor, they're recruiting Graham harder than any other school.

"They want me to be a Rocket and join the family," Graham said. "And great things are coming."

Graham's former teammates at Armwood that signed with Toledo, Aaron Covington and Dedarallo Blue, have told Graham great things about Toledo.

"They said that it's an awesome place and it's beautiful," said Graham. "They want me to come up there too."

There are still other schools recruiting Graham though. He holds other offers from Appalachian State, Buffalo, Marshall, Northern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Mercer, Southern Illinois, and Troy.

When TheRocketNation.com was at Graham's high school, a coach from Marshall was also there and had a quick meet and greet with Graham.

"Marshall is a cool place," Graham said. "Randy Moss went there and I looked up to him as a kid. That would be a cool place to play at. I talk to coach Fuller; he's a cool coach. I like that place too a little bit."

Graham won't step out on a limb and say that Toledo is leading in his recruitment, but it seems to be safe to say that they're the team to beat at the moment.

"I'm feeling Toledo a little bit more than any other school," said Graham.
