Coach Cory Robinson Attracts Faion Hicks to Toledo

When recruits look at schools, some look at location, others look at coaching staff but for Pembroke Pines, Florida defensive back, Faion Hicks, it's the position coach that makes the difference. Cory Robinson, in his first-year of coaching cornerbacks at the University of Toledo, has been recruiting Hicks to the Rockets.

"I have a very close relationship with Coach Robinson," Hicks stated.

Hicks has an impressive offer sheet, including thirteen total offers from programs such as Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa State, and Northern Illinois. Despite the impressive programs interested, Hicks says Toledo is in the mix, but he does not have a list of favorites yet.

"My recruitment is really going great and Toledo remains very high on my list."

The three-star cornerback had nine pass breakups, twelve tackles, and an interception in which he returned for a touchdown in 2015. All season long, Hicks allowed two catches for just sixteen yards, leading to a lot of national attention.

Hicks says he doesn't know much about Toledo yet but looks to visit Toledo's campus sometime this summer. TheRocketNation will keep you posted on Hicks' recruitment.
